Planned Parenthood Western Pennsylvania Action Fund

The Planned Parenthood Western Pennsylvania Action Fund (PPWPAF) is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization formed as the political arm of Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. The Action Fund engages in educational and electoral activity including public education campaigns, grassroots organizing, and legislative advocacy. The mission of PPWPAF is to maintain, preserve and expand pro-choice positions to ensure access to reproductive health care, support and elect pro-choice officials, and educate and inform the public to increase understanding of reproductive health care issues.

John Paul Jones is running for State House representative in the 27th District in a district currently represented by Tom Petrone – including the West End of Pittsburgh, Avalon, Ben Avon, Crafton, Dormont, Emsworth, Glenfield, Ingram and McKees Rocks , Neville, and Stowe.

John Paul Jones' two opponents both refused to answer any questions, even those relating to birth control and comprehensive sexuality education. Jones, on the other hand, promises to be a wonderful, articulate, and knowledgeable advocate for women’s health care.

Brenda Frazier is running for State House representative in the 21st District currently represented by Lisa Bennington – including the neighborhoods of Shadyside, Bloomfield, Friendship, Garfield, Stanton Heights, Morningside, Etna, Millvale, Sharpsburg, Ross Twp., Shaler Twp., and Reserve Twp.

One of Frazier's opponents voted against a buffer zone protecting patients seeking medical care from harassment by protestors. Frazier recognizes the importance of prevention and education to protect women's health. For the Post-Gazette endorsement of Brenda Frazier, click here.
